Cobra Administration

WL Benefits Group, Inc. provides third party Cobra administration services. When we get notified by the client of your qualifying event, we send out all required notifications, provide billing reminders, collect premiums and then remit insurance premiums to the carriers as designated.

WL Benefits Group, Inc is a Third Party Benefit Administrator specializing in Self Insured/Fully insured Health Plans, Flexible Spending Accounts and COBRA Benefits. We offer COBRA premium payment services in order to provide the ability for our participants to pay their monthly insurance premiums online via VISA, MasterCard or American Express.

Our office is provided the premium insurance rates by each client group once a year during their benefit renewal and open enrollment. If the client has a former employee who chooses to enroll in COBRA, we provide enrollment, billing, premium collection and insurance payment services to our client’s former employees.

Return Policy

WL Benefits Group, Inc is not providing a material product; therefore, a return policy does not apply in this case.

Refund Policy

COBRA premiums are not subject to refund unless a termination of coverage is requested in writing by the COBRA participant within 30 days of the termination of coverage.

Example 1: March 23, 2012 a request is made to terminate coverage effective March 1, 2012 and a refund of March premiums. We would be able to go back to March 1, 2012 to terminate and refund March 2012 premiums.

Example 2: March 23, 2012 a request is made to terminate coverage effective February 1, 2012 and a refund of February and March premiums. We would only be able to terminate back to March 1, 2012, and only one month of premium would be eligible for refunding.

Refunds would only be subject to the total COBRA premium, and any convenience fee collected would be retained by WL Benefits Group, Inc for payment processing.

Cancellation Policy

COBRA premiums are due on the first of each coverage month with a 30 day grace period to ensure payments have been postmarked to our office. There is also a 5 day mail delay on premium acceptance into our system. If a full payment is not made within that 35 grace period, termination and cancellation of COBRA coverage will occur without written notice.
